◇ Jeju Oedolgae

Oedolgae was named because he was standing alone and lonely in the sea. Oedolgae, a 20-meter-tall pillar rock, is the most striking among the odd-shaped cliffs surrounding the coast of Chilsimni, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do.

It is said to have formed when a volcano erupted about 1.5 million years ago and lava changed the shape of the island. There are a few pine trees growing wild on the top, and it looks like the head of a Murtal Dosa, as if wearing a hat.
