BTS won the group award and the Kpop award at the '2021 MTV Video Music Awards', winning two gold medals.

BTS won the Group of the Year Award and Best K-Pop Award at the 'MTV VMA' held at the Barclays Center in New York on September 12 (local time).

At this awards ceremony, BTS, who could not attend the local awards ceremony due to COVID-19, expressed their joy by saying, "Thank you to MTV and ARMY (BTS fan club)" through a pre-recorded video.

At the awards ceremony held this time, BTS was nominated for five categories: Group of the Year, Best Pop, Best K-Pop, Best Choreography, and Best Editing.

Meanwhile, BTS succeeded in winning the award for three consecutive years after being nominated for the first time in the 2019 'MTV VMA', and has been consistently loved by fans around the world. At the 2019 awards ceremony, they won the Best Group and Best K-Pop Awards, and last year they won 4 awards including Best Choreography, Best Pop, Best K-Pop, and Best Group.
