[General Trias, Cavite, Philippines]
Kim Ji-yeon (born 1975), President of the Loverock Lifelong Education Center and Chairperson of the International Rhythmic Gymnastics Association, has been officially appointed as a professor in the field of cultural and arts education at General Trias College of Cavite, located at S1, B1, L2 ABCD Sunny Brooke 2, Brgy. San Francisco, Gen. Trias, Cavite.

Professor Kim will serve as an advisor and lecturer, delivering K-culture-based educational content and supporting the development of arts education programs in the region.

This appointment recognizes her decades-long contribution to creativity- and character-based cultural arts education, particularly her work in rhythmic movement with children’s songs, Korean-language nursery rhymes, and Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) programs. Her influence on youth education across Asia has garnered international recognition.

In South Korea, Kim has taught as an adjunct and visiting professor in the fields of early childhood education, social welfare, and child development at multiple institutions. Her teaching methodology has received praise for effectively integrating theory and practice through hands-on programs focused on children’s music, play-based learning, SEL instruction, developmental psychology, relationship-building, and community awareness.

She also served as an artistic director and choreographer for children's programs on major Korean broadcasters including KBS, MBC, and EBS, where she led the national discourse on children's cultural content. She later founded the Loverock Lifelong Education Center, which operates comprehensive SEL-based arts programs for all generations—from prenatal to seniors.

Kim is also the general director and founder of the World Children & Youth Culture & Arts Festival, a global platform promoting intercultural arts exchange. She has led collaborations with more than ten countries—including Italy, Australia, China, Vietnam, and the Philippines—and is at the forefront of internationalizing Korean rhythmic content and her signature K-Kids Pop programs.

The General Trias College of Cavite issued a statement saying,

"The appointment of Professor Kim Ji-yeon marks a significant step in introducing practical and emotionally resonant cultural arts content into higher education in Asia. It is a milestone in strengthening both diversity and international engagement within the Philippine education system.

Kim expressed her thoughts on the appointment, stating:

“Art is not just a form of expression—it is a language that connects hearts and heals communities. Based on my experience developing integrated arts education in Korea, I hope to help Filipino and Asian youth learn to love themselves and empathize with the world around them.”
