On May 3rd, the city of Icheon, known for its love for children, hosted the "2024 Dreaming Icheon Children's Festival." Commemorating the 102nd Children's Day, the main event featured a series of performances, including a congratulatory performance, a commemoration ceremony and a special performance by Lee Eun-gyeol. The festival, centered around children, invited 1,000 children from preschools and kindergartens within Icheon.

The pre-celebratory performance featured representative children and youth performance teams active both domestically and internationally. It commenced with an opening performance by the Korea Junior Big Band, the only children and youth big band team in South Korea, composed of wind instrument players (performing "Saint's Procession" and "September"). Following this, the stage was taken over by the Love Rock performance group. Love Rock specializes in broadcasting and performances, contributing to local development, the spread of domestic and international cultural arts, and global cultural exchange through various performance activities.

Additionally, representing Icheon and promoting the city through children's songs, the leading vocal ensemble and choir groups of Icheon, including Seohee Vocal Ensemble (Beautiful World), Icheon Children's Choir (Let's Sing Together), and Chorong Chorong Children's Song School (Sky Friends, Sea Friends), presented a medley of children's songs. Through this medley, performers and the young audience breathed and enjoyed together on stage.

The commemoration ceremony included the presentation of commendations to exemplary children and welfare contributors, recitation of the Children's Charter, and a Children's Day commemorative speech by Mayor Kim Kyung-hee of Icheon, followed by speeches from Song Seok-jun, a member of the National Assembly, Kim Ha-sik, Chairman of the Icheon City Council, and Kim Eun-jeong, Superintendent of Education in Icheon. The "I Like Icheon" rhythmic gymnastics, the final segment of the commemoration ceremony, was the highlight of the festival. Performers on the congratulatory stage, guests, and all the children in the audience joined together to perform rhythmic gymnastics. It was announced that a promotional video for the "I Like Icheon" rhythmic gymnastics will be produced.

Following the ceremony, the congratulatory performance concluded with a special performance by illusionist Lee Eun-gyeol, a leading figure in Korea and the recipient of numerous awards in international competitions.

Love Rock and the social organization, the Korea Rhythmic Gymnastics Association (Representative: Kim Ji-yeon), collaborated as partners for the 2024 Dreaming Icheon Children's Festival, planning the performances for the commemoration ceremony and producing the "<I Like Icheon>" rhythmic gymnastics routine and accompanying video. These two organizations are recognized for successfully organizing the World Children's Culture and Arts Festival (held in the National Assembly Hall, Boeun, Italy, Australia, China) and for planning and operating numerous domestic and international children's cultural arts performances, establishing themselves as proficient entities contributing to the healthy cultural arts performances and education of children in South Korea.

"Every staff member of Love Rock and the Korea Rhythmic Gymnastics Association is committed to advancing the healthy cultural arts performances and education of children in South Korea. We will continue to lead in this endeavor," stated Kim Ji-yeon, Representative of Love Rock/Social Organization, Korea Rhythmic Gymnastics Association.

It is hoped that the city of Icheon, a city that loves children, will become the center of an child-friendly city where children's dreams are realized.
